Hwang Ui-jo has followed his countrymen Son Heung-min and Hwang Hee-chan as he has made the move to England. As Sky Sports in England reported on Wednesday, the transfer to Nottingham Forest is all but done with a loan move this season likely to Olympiacos

Bordeaux in trouble

Clubs around Europe would of been drawn to the possibility of signing Hwang, after the Korean scored 11 goals in 32 matches in a struggling side. He was also available at the cut price of €4 million after the financial worries at Bordeaux.

Just three days before the start of the French season Bordeaux where reinstated in Ligue 2 after originally being relegated to the third tier due to financial issues and debts in the region of £34m. This came after the French Football Federation (FFF)  reduced the punishment after the club put together a debt restructuring plan.

Future for Hwang

Back to Hwang himself and how he could push on after impressing in France in the last three seasons. Of course though after the relegation and the uncertainty around the club the Korean has been looking for a move away. Wolves where heavily linked but the big spending Nottingham Forrest look to have secured the deal.

Although the player will of course be desperate to play in the English Premier League it is likely as reported by many news outlets he will spend this season in Greece with Olympiacos. At the time of publishing however Nottingham Forrest have not confirmed the deal.
