Taipower fail to take top spot

We had just the one game in Taiwan over the weekend again and this was a chance for Taipower to top the table. However, Hang Yuen for the second weekend in a row frustrated their opponents with the sides taking a share of the spoils.

Hang Yuen 1-1 Taipower

Before kick-off Taipower sat in third place in the league and they knew a win at the weekend would take them up to top spot. Although after the weekend draw they will have to wait at least another week for that top spot.

The match started well though for Taipower and they where ahead in 18 minutes with Lee Hsiang-Wei scoring with his head after a corner from Kao Chun-Hung. Although after the positive start more goals did not come for the away side.

The Hang Yuen boss was clearly the happier with the point, their second draw in a matter of weeks. His team set out to frustrate opponents and this worked well again with the coach saying post match 'The result was not bad, the counter attacking play came out and we recovered from the first goal'.

The home side did create chances and could of got the win but Chia-Pao Yang would of been happy with his goal. The fourth year student at Fu Jen University getting his first of the season.
