What is next for Júnior Negrão

There are numerous reports emerging that the K League top talent Júnior Negrão could be heading out the door at Ulsan Hyundai. At 34-years-old the Brazilian managed 26 goals in 27 league matches last season, it looks now like he is after a challenge away from Korea. This was seen as this week the CSL side Changchun Yatai are linked with a strong move for the forward.

A man on fire

It was a phenomenal season for Júnior Negrão who with Ulsan his playing with his thirteenth club. Despite this, the well-travelled forward enjoyed a season in which he scored a goal in the league on average around every 80 minutes.

That is a scoring record that would have had him smash Dejan Damjanović record of 30 league goals in the 2012 season if it wasn't for the shortened season that saw just the 27 league matches compared with 44 league matches in 2012.

On top of all of this, he scored twice in the Asian Champions League Final to help his side become champions of Asia against Iranian side Persepolis.

A move to the CSL

All these impressive stats would have you think any side in Asia would be lucky to have him but with the player having turned 34 at the end of the year sides may be wary of signing him. Despite this strong reports have emerged in China that the CSL new boys Changchun Yatai are in talks to bring him to China.

This would be a great bit of business for a club new to the CSL to sign one of the best players in Asia last season. The club are no strangers to Brazilian talent as last season they had midfield pair Lucas Souza and Serginho help them to promotion.

He could also team up with another East Asian talent in Taiwan's midfielder Chen Po-Liang who played a key role in helping his side to the China League One title.
