Nakajima is back on form

After injuries and poor form affected much of Shoya Nakajima early time with FC Porto the Japan international looks to finally be back as he played the last 30 minutes in the Champions League. This was seen as he came off the bench against Olympiakos replacing Fábio Vieira.

Helping with the goals

In the summer there were reports that Shoya Nakajima was firmly out of favour and some in the Japan media even suggested he could be returning to FC Tokyo, at least on loan. This, of course, did not transpire and he has now fought himself back to full fitness and looks raring to go.

He has promptly played over 90 minutes in two matches in the last week suggesting that he is finally back to full fitness. In FC Porto league match just last weekend in a 1-0 win over Gil Vicente the 26-year-old picked up the assist.

The good form continued in the week too as he created the chance from which Porto secured their 2-0 goal and secured the win. His coach Sérgio Conceição clearly feels he is back as said "There was work with #Nakajima as with everyone. We have departments responsible for working on the emotional side, but the player feels truly recovered when he starts playing. I think everyone is well-motivated"
