Son Heung-min is on fire

It has been a great week if you support Tottenham as first they resign their prodigal son Gareth Bale and then Son Heung-min scores four to help them to a 5-2 win away at Southampton. In typical fashion, the Korean was as cool as you would expect in a post-match interview showing all his class on and off the pitch.

Three was not enough

This was a Tottenham Hotspur side that looked completely reinvigorated after re-signing Gareth Bale they could be back on the right track after a poor opening game defeat over Everton. Although it was not plain sailing for the London side as they went a goal down at Southampton thanks to a Danny Ings strike just after the half-hour mark.

Just before half time though Son Heung-min showed exactly why he needs to be playing alongside Bale and Kane as he drew his side level just before the break, then just after the second 45 began he put his team into the lead.

The forward was helped of course by his teammates as Tanguy Ndombele skilful play coupled with Harry Kane putting the ball on to Son made is a great day all round. In fact all four goals for Son game with assists from Kane showing José Mourinho that when Bale is fit he has got to find a way to play all three.

Although Son is known for his goalscoring ability on 64 minutes he completed his first Premier League hat-trick, this was all before adding a fourth before the end. In all, it was a breathtaking performance and now Paulo Bento just needs to find a way to get this out of him in a Korean shirt.
