Son Heung-Min to Real Madrid

The transfer talk with Son Heung-Min never really goes away but the recent stories of him being the subject of interest from Real Madrid has got people talking. This would not only be a move to one of the best sides in club football but it could see him cost a huge €150 million.

Son could set a team back a few million

Tottenham is set to borrow £175m from the British government as a result of the COVID 19 crisis in the UK. Then with this in mind it makes you think the club will not be able to say no to an eye-watering bid for any player.

Tottenham have not got going all season and while Son Heung-Min has put in some great performances it is clear he is not able to show his best in the current side. A move to a club like Real Madrid at 27-years-old could be a perfect chance for the Korean to show that he is up there as one of the best in the world.

He has, after all, scored 16 in 32 appearances in all competitions so far with the season set to resume for his club a week on Friday. These are not bad stats for a player that has not had the best of seasons with injuries and silly sending-offs affecting his form.

Seeing him when he has been in form this season is a joy as we saw back near the beginning of the season when he scored a cracking solo goal against Burnley which may still be the goal of the season. This was the type of play that will get the best clubs in the world watching but with a contract until the summer of 2023, a big bid will be needed to take him away from London.

There is a thought that due to the financial impact of the coronavirus on clubs including Real Madrid that a move for such a huge sum will not happen but in the world of football you never know.
