The Hong Kong FA posted that their youth teams and women's teams have returned to training in order to return to his physical fitness.

Hong Kong's sides return to training

The Hong Kong FA have taken proactive action to ensure that their players can return to a decent level of fitness so they can be in shape to play again when it's time to.

The men's U23 and U19, plus the senior women's team and the Women's U23 are all taking part in the training, which is taking place at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

This is a good initiative undertaken by the Hong Kong FA because as we have seen in other countries around the world, clubs have been complaining about not having enough time to ensure a healthy level of fitness for their players.

That being said, it is only the international players, but at the same time, they cannot order clubs to get their players back into training as a lot of multifaceted issues will have to be assessed on a club by club basis.

However, it is a start, and a prod in the right direction, which is good news for Hong Kong, especially as the AFC (Asian Football Federation) seems set on restarting the World Cup qualifying games too, which is going to be extremely problematic.

Even with it being problematic though, it is best to make sure you have decent fitness in case of games in the future are ordered to go ahead, and it could even happen suddenly. That would mean there'd be minimal time to prepare, something the Hong Kong FA seem to be trying to ensure they eliminate through these training sessions.
