Can the man on loan from Real Madrid, Takefusa Kubo keep Mallorca up

Takefusa Kubo last week picked up two assists as he helped his side to a 5-1 win over Celta Vigo in their battle against relegation. Am sure currently the 19-year-old Real Madrid loanee just has his mind on saving Mallorca from the drop but eyes are already turning to next season for many with the suggestion that Japan international will be spending next season with Real Sociedad on loan.

Heading to Real Sociedad

In the week Mallorca thrashed Celta Vigo 5-1 as Takefusa Kubo was the shining light in a very impressive performance. Although despite this it still looks like the La Liga side have every chance of being relegated as they sit five points from the drop with five matches remaining.

This in itself makes you think that Kubo long term future will not be with the struggling side and while Real Madrid clearly sees him as part of their plan he still has some learning to do before he makes the step up.

Then with this in mind, it looks like Real Sociedad are on hand to take the player on loan next season. It appears his parent club sees this as the perfect place for him to shine after seeing their Norwegian star Martin Ƙdegaard have a successful season with Sociedad.

Despite playing in a side finding it hard to get a win the Japan youngster is already attracting praise in Spain as he has scored three goals across 31 appearances – including 15 starts.

Next year could then be his breakthrough season as he could be part of the Real Madrid first team by the summer of 2021. This could be important for his development too as when the Qatar World Cup comes calling in December 2022 he could be a key player for his country.
