Big wins and goalless draws in Taiwan

Over the weekend the Taiwan league reached its fifth week as three sides ended the round of matches still undefeated. Before the games, the players wished their mothers happy mothers day on what was mothers day in many countries around the world.

Big wins and goalless draws

As with all previous rounds of matches the league events took place on Sunday kickoff simultaneously in the country at 4pm behind closed doors.

In the opening match, we look at Tatung the current champions as they hosted Hang Yuen in an entertaining encounter that ended 2-2 leaving Hang Yuen in second place. In this match as with all four that took place a banner was unveiled by the players wishing mothers happy mothers day.

Meanwhile, in the other matches, Ming Chuan University played against Taipei Red Lions in a game they run out 6-0 winners in. This left Red Lions sitting on zero points with a minus 20 goal difference.

To add insult to injury in this game the side bottom of the league had a player sent off just before full time as Diego Loza saw red for a second bookable offence.

It was good news this week after an inconsistent start for Taiwan Steel as they run out 4-0 winners over Taiwan University.

In the final match of the weekend which many perceived as the one to watch we saw Taichung Futuro host top of the table Taipoer in a match that ended goalless. This was a hard-fought game between two of the sides right in the title mix.
