Just last month things looked bright for Tottenham as Hary Kane and Son was helping José Mourinho settle in at his new club. They were putting in great displays and in one of these, we saw Son Heung-min channel his inner Diego Maradona as he scored a beautiful individual goal to help his side to a 5-0 win over Burnley.

Sonaldo. Sonaldo Nazario

That wonder goal was on Friday recognised as it was voted Decembers Premier League Goal of the month. It is sure will be up there too come the end of the season for the goal of the season.

At the time it saw the Korean dubbed 'Sonaldo' after scoring the goal in the 31st minute of his sides win in early December. As for the goal, it saw him pick the ball up on the edge of his own box and then just twelve seconds and 12 touches later he had destroyed the visiting defence and slotted past Nick Pope in the Burnley goal.

At the time the attacker said "I just wanted to keep going, It was a long run and was a lot of time to think. But it is a special goal of course."

Along with being awarded the goal of the month, it was given the prize of Gilette's Precision Play of the month. This is separate from the goal of the month and the award is giving to a piece of play in a match.

As it looks at a variety of stats and angles to break down the best goals from the month's action. The award is voted for by fans who can then win prizes from Gillette for taking part.
