The MLS Final was played over the weekend and 69,274 inside the CenturyLink Field in Seattle witnessed the home side defeat Toronto FC to win their second MLS Cup. It was a match which saw Kim Ki-Hee face up against Japanese forward Endoh with the Korean defender coming out well on top.

Strong defence wins it for Seattle

Seattle Sounders lifted the MLS Cup and they literally had their stadium rocking with the fans' celebration. It was seen as each of the three goals scored by the home side registered an earthquake.

The fans were undoubtedly excited after a long hard season where the side have fought hard from back to front. Their strong defence led by Kim was once against at it's best over the weekend this was seen as they soaked up the pressure from Toronto FC.

You may look at the 3-1 scoreline and think the match was an easy one for Seattle, this might be true to an extent as they threatened the visitors goal more than their Toronto FC. They did this though by dealing well with the 62% possession which Toronto FC enjoyed.

As we said just last week when they reached the final they had to overcome a strong Los Angeles FC side.
