Title race going to the wire in Korea

There are just three matches left in the K League 1 and there's still very much a title race to be decided. This is seen with Ulsan leading the way by three points over current champions Jeonbuk.

A title to be won

Over the weekend the gap in the league grew as Jeonbuk dropped points against FC Seoul while Ulsan kept up their run with a 2-1 win away over Deagu.

Ulsan is now on 75 points with Jeonbuk just behind on 72 points. It means with only three matches remaining it is Ulsan's to throw away.

It is all set up for a big match when Ulsan face Jeonbuk at the end of the month in the second last match of the season. It is a game that if the standings are to remain the same will see Ulsan win their first K League title since 2005 if they avoid defeat.

Although before we even think about that, they both have big matches this weekend as Ulsan travel to Seoul to take on FC Seoul. Meanwhile, Jeonbuk travel to Deagu as they look to keep the pressure on and retain a chance of gaining another K League 1 title.

Next with just three matches left to play there is still much to play for at the top of the league and both sides face tough matches this weekend.

As we are now in the league split each side face teams in the top six meaning there are no easy matches.

Then with such a tight league, it could also be decided on goal difference and that is also very close as both sides have scored 68 times this season while Jeonbuk has conceded three less.
