Former Arsenal man Asano off to a great start in Serbia

During the week Partizan Belgrade played Yeni Malatyaspor of Turkey in the 3rd Qualifying Round for the Europa League. This was a match which saw the Serbians come out 3-1 winners in the first leg and saw an impressive second-half debut from Takuma Asano.

The Serbians came into this match as slight favourites looking to make home advantage count. This is exactly what they did as they run out 3-1 winners. One of the stars of the show was kept on the bench in the first half though.

The man on the bench was the Japan attacker Takuma Asano who had only joined a few days earlier from English side Arsenal. When he did come on though he made an immediate impact and really impressed.

The powerful 45 minutes for the player was capped off with a 67th-minute goal. In doing so he helped his side to victory with a healthy lead to take away to Turkey.
