Intro Taiwan's women's team have landed in Thailand, and the hard work will begin as the preparations start in earnest for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.

Equality football is alive in Taiwan

Equality in football is all the rage right now, due to the US women, and it's a good thing that women's football becomes better supported and gets better treatment. Taiwan may not get spoken about in the same terms as America, but they without a doubt are one of the countries who pioneer equality for women in football.

The CTFA organises as much for women's football as they do for the men, and they have given them a lot of support in their effort to qualify for the Olympics. The Taiwanese women deserve it because they have been superb in their efforts recently representing Taiwan, finishing 4th in the Asian games when no one expected it.

You won't hear Taiwan being spoken about in regards to the women's football equality fight, but they definitely are doing a brilliant job of promoting both men and women's football right now.

Friendlies against two Thai sides

During the training camp in Thailand, the Taiwan women's team will have two friendlies against Thai club sides. As of yet, I have failed to find out which sides they are, and as of yet, I have failed to find out if the matches will be streamed live but I hope that they are.

It will be a tall ask for Taiwan to get to the Olympics, but it is wonderful seeing them getting the support they deserve, especially as they've done represented Taiwan so well, and made a lot of people proud of them.
