Gaku Shibasaki joins Deportivo

Gaku Shibasaki the Japanese midfielder this week moved to Spanish side Deportivo de La Coruña this was seen as the player signed a four year deal with the Segunda División side. The deal was reported to be in the region of €2million as he hopes to help the club back to La Liga.

The 27-year-old, who represented Japan in June’s Copa America, moves from La Liga side Getafe after picking up just two full 90 minutes in the league last year. 

He leaves the club he joined in the summer of 2017 after starting the year with second-division club Tenerife. Back in Japan, he began his career with J League side Kashima Antlers.
