Bordeaux sign Hwang Ui-Jo from Gamba Osaka

The South Korean international striker Hwang Ui-Jo has signed for Ligue 1 side FC Bordeaux. A player who as had various success on the international stage as been looking for a move to Europe. That move has now come with the Korean moving from J League side Gamba Osaka to the south of France. 

On his way to France 

The 26-year-old forward last season finished the campaign as the division’s third-highest scorer with 16 goals from 27 appearances. His goal output helped him beat out Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min to win the 2018 Korean Men’s Footballer of the year award.

The player too has 27 caps for his country and helped his side to Asian Games gold back in September 2018. In addition, this means the player is exempt from military duty something am sure makes him more attractive to new clubs.

The attacked is now all set to be unveiled as a player in France as reports suggest he is currently having a medical with the side.

This means on Saturday he played his last match with his former club Gamba Osaka against Shimizu S-Pulse. In this match, he played the full 90 minutes as his side picked up a 1-0 victory.
