Cho Hyun-woo away to Germany

According to rumours Cho Hyun-woo the Korean and Daegu goalkeeper looks like he is ending his seven years with the club to head to Germany. The club as yet to be announced but over the weekend it was reported that the stopper will be heading to Europe.

Success with Daegu and Korea

The 27-year-old suffered a poor season with Daegu last season till the World Cup where he was a standout for his country. On returning he helped his side off the bottom of the table and to a Korean FA Cup title.

This seasons not been bad for the player too with his club fourth in the K League 1. They also put in some impressive displays at the Asian Champions League even if in the end it was not enough to qualify out the group.

While it's been positive all off the pitch too with the side in a new ground that is close to selling out for each match. He's played a key part in this too with nine clean sheets from 15 matches. He picked out the last of these clean sheets over the weekend with a 2-0 win over Pohang Steelers.

If the match on Sunday proves to be his last am sure everyone at Deagu will wish him well for the rest of his career. There has been nothing confirmed but the strong rumours suggest that he will be away soon.

Desire to play in Europe

The keeper himself as never hid his desire to play away from Korea, while in an interview during the 2018 World Cup he stated it would be a dream to play in England one day. This was seen when in June 2018 he said, "I would like to play in Europe one day, and especially in England. There you can face the best strikers in the world and really improve as a goalkeeper. First, though, I still have a lot to learn in the K-League and want to show fans at home my best performance in every game."

If that time now in the K League is up he's certainly performed exceptionally for his club and fans.
