Kim Han-yoon to Vietnam

It emerged on Wednesday that the former South Korean coach Kim Han-yoon is close to becoming the Vietnam assistant as he looks to join fellow Korean Park Hang-seo’s. Reports suggest that Kim will also take charge of the countries under-23 side in a friendly match against Myanmar in June this year.

Who is Kim Han-yoon

First for those who don't know much about Kim the 44-year-old was capped four times for the national side as a player and played his career in the K League with his most successful periods coming with FC Seoul and with the club now known as Jeju United.

He's currently the manager of FC Seoul who sit third in the K League 1 after a disastrous season last time out. Prior to this, he was Busan IPark player-manager during the 2010-2011 season.

The news of him joining Vietnam comes after their previous assistant Lee Tae-hoon became head coach of V League side HAGL FC.
