Tai Po at the top
Entering the match Tai Po was leading in the league with three points more than Southern, meaning that a loss would be game over for Southern so the pressure was all on them. Tai Po on the other hand also needed a win to maintain their top position since R&F was only two points behind.
Despite the equilibrium between both teams, it always looked that like Tai Po was in control showing a better quality of football than their opponents. This was especially true due to their key players Michel Lugo and Igor Sartori showed their dominance as the main driving force in the Tai Po attack.
It did take till minute 38 for Tai Po to capitalise on their superiority however when Michel Lugo opened the scoring much to the joy of the home fans. After the break, Southern reacted and went in search of the equaliser which arrived through a controversial penalty kick scored by Nicola Komazec, it was not clear if the foul was inside the area but Komazec did his job and scored the equaliser.

The remainder of the second half saw chances for both teams, but right at the end of the match, Igor Sartori scored what could prove to be the title-winning goal on 90 minutes. This came through an individual effort with ending with a short inside the Southern area.
This massive win means that due to the postponed match between R&F and Hoi King, Tai Po opened a four points gap over current champions Kitchee and a five-point lead over R&F. The next round of fixtures will see R&F and Tai Po play against each other in what can only be called a title match, a draw would be
enough for Tai Po, but a win for R&F could be enough for them to take home the title since if R&F wins the game and the game in hand, the five points gap would become two.
Erchim FC stronger than everyone in Mongolia
In Mongolia, the teams that can be considered as the best in the country faced each other in the highlight match of the Mazala National League round two. Everyone was expecting if Ulaanbaatar could challenge Erchim FC for the title in the 2019 season they would need to win their early matches against title rivals.
The match between the sides showed the current trend continues with Erchim coming out on top. This was seen with Erchim FC winning the game 4-2 and once again proving that there is no match for them in Mongolia. Despite the early lead by Erchim, Ulaanbaatar did manage to be in a 2-1 lead 26 minutes. Although just two minutes later Erchim drew the game level at 2-2, then at the other end took the lead from a penalty. The second half had less action, but Erchim with another penalty confirmed the final result of 4-2.
Mongolia Mazala National League is only in the second round but Erchim FC is already isolated in the lead with two wins from two matches.
