Wu Lei is out of the China Cup

Wu Lei is the name on everyone's lips in Chinese Football currently, he even became the first Chinese player to score in La Liga. This was when he scored for his Catalonian side Espanyol in a 3-1 win against Valladolid. However, his fans at home will have to wait a while to see him back in action as it is thought he will be rested for his sides friendly matches this month. 

No Wu Lei at China Cup 

It is thought that the new China manager Fabio Cannavaro will allow the impressive attacker a rest during the international break. This is understandable as Wu Lei looked to be playing through an injury at the Asian Cup and any rest for him am sure will be well needed.

In news reports this week in China it's been confirmed former boss Lippi currently has no intention of returning as technical director.
