Kagawa back on form

Shinji Kagawa has not played for Japan since the World Cup when he took part in the whole 90 minutes as his country lost 3-2 to Belgium. Then on his return to his club Borussia Dortmund in the summer, he had a poor time of it. This led to a January move to Turkey and Besiktas for a new start for the 29-year-old.

Kagawa back on form

The move to Turkey so far has proved to be a good one at least early on anyways. This is due to the player finally getting playing time. Although he's yet to complete 90 minutes for the Turkish Super Lig side.

Despite his inability to playing 90 minutes this season the play only needed the last 15 minutes to make a difference at the weekend. We saw this as the midfielder scored a 93rd-minute winner for the club against Konyaspor.

The attacking midfielder deftly dribbled into the box and sent a left-footed shot into the right corner past keeper Serkan Kirintili.

“I thought there was bound to be a chance. I’m really glad I could believe in that,” said Kagawa, who scored his third goal since joining Besiktas on loan from Borussia Dortmund. This was his third goal after the player scored twice on his debut against Antalyaspor.
