Spurs player head to the CSL

This week as the Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min heads out to the UAE another of their player's heads to Asia. This time it is in the shape of a different attacker Moussa Dembele as the Belgian international looks to seal a move to a Chinese Super League side.

Dembele in China

It was reported earlier in the week that Moussa Dembele would head to China to join Beijing Guoan in the CSL. This report has since been rejected as untrue and he was never moving to Beijing.  It's unclear if the English media just get confused by unnamed Chinese clubs or they just don't do their homework.

The story is now that the player will be signing for Guangzhou R&F for a fee for around £11 million. This report came for a Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur who tweeted this on Tuesday. If this move does go ahead Dembele will become the forth Belgium player to play in China.

The previous players to play in China from the European country are Kevin Oris (2014 Liaoning Whowin), Axel Witsel (2017–2018 Tianjin Quanjian) and Yannick Carrasco who still plays his football for Dalian Yifang after making his move in February 2018.

It's got to be said that if Dembele does move to the CSL and Guangzhou R&F will have a very good player on their hands. This is due to the player having all the abilities to be a quality assist for his new club. For those who have not seen him play he is fast, skilful and strong. He can defend but also attack and in the right team will chip in with his share of goals.
