Shoya Nakajima away to Qatar

More transfer news and this time it is in the shape of the Japanese midfielder Shoya Nakajima heading to Qatar. The 24-year-olds been in impressive form this season and was disappointed to miss the Asian Cup through injury. He's caught the eye throughout his time in the Portuguese top flight with Portimonense and many thought he would head to a top European club, not Qatar.

Next stop Doha

The tricky midfielder is on his way to Al Duhail in the Qatarian top flight known as the Stars League. The move is thought to be netting the team from Portugal in the region of £30.5 million. He will be joining the current champions of Qatar who sit second this season two points of the top with seven games remaining.

Am sure fans of Japan and the player will be disappointing he has gone for the oil money of Qatar. It is clear the players got a lot of talent and could really have developed at a top side in Europe. This is a player after all that was linked with moves to many top clubs including PSG. You can only imagine if he's picked Qatar that his wage packet makes up for the lack of improvement he will be able to make in such a league.

Meanwhile, his coach at Portimonense was clearly unhappy as he said;
"Shoya Nakajima is not a Portimonense player anymore. He was sold. I do not know the deal, nor do I want to know. I know that while he was at Portimonense, it was fantastic to work with him."
