Lee Seung-woo gets late South Korea call up

Lee Seung-woo the South Korean wunderkind who is playing for Hellas Verona in Italy has been called up late to the South Korean Asian cup squad.

Injury gives Lee Seung-woo Asian Cup chance

South Korean hot prospect Lee Seung-woo has been drafted into the South Korean Asian Cup squad late due to Na Sang-ho picking up an injury. As is the case when a player gets injured, one bloke's misfortune is another guy's good luck.

Lee will be hoping that he grabs his chance with both hands and shines in the biggest tournament in Asia, he definitely has the potential to be a massive player for South Korea for years to come.

Bad luck - good luck

Having one the players you wanted to be in the squad get injured before the tournament, he will know all Paulo Bento's plans and ideas inside out, and what their approach is in their attempt to win the Asian Cup for the first time in donkey's years. That will be a blow for the management team.

The good luck, however, comes from Na Sang-ho getting injured before South Korea played their first match. No one wants to see any of their squad get injured, but if it is going to happen then it may as well happen before you start out in the tournament because then you can draft in a replacement. South Korea had terrible luck in that regard during the World Cup with players seemingly dropping down on a daily basis. So, therefore, its bad luck with a sprinkle of good luck in that South Korea was still able to call up a replacement and the one they have called up has the potential to be a mighty game changer.
