Suwon sign North Korean international

Suwon FC signed North Korean international An Byong-jun from Japanese side Roasso Kumamoto. The experienced forward has played over 100 times in Japan.

Suwon add to their attack

K League 2 side Suwon FC have added to their attacking line-up by snapping up North Korean international An Byong-jun. An was born in Tokyo and is a part of the North Korean diaspora in the country known as Zainichi.

Because he is classed as being Korean he won't take up any foreign player spots for Suwon next season, with the K-League classing all Korean's even those born overseas as local players. An has represented North Korea eight times and has a whole host of youth level caps.

He becomes one of a few North Koreans to play in the south, following in the footsteps of probably the most famous North Korean player of recent times Jong Tae-sae who famously shed tears at the 2010 World Cup finals during the national anthem. Suwon will be hoping An smashes in goal after goal which then propels them to K League 1.
