This week Son Heung-min scored his 100th goal in European football, an impressive feat for the Korean attacker. In picking up his 100th goal in a 3-1 win over Southampton he became only the second ever Korean to do this after Cha Bum-keun a Korean who played in Germany in the 1980s.
How good is Son Heung-min
This week after the Tottenham and South Korea striker picked up his 100th goal in Europe his club manager Mauricio Pochettino said this is the best we have seen from the Korean. With the Tottenham head coach saying "I think he's in his best this season, we are so happy in the way he has started to perform in the last few games, after the international break. It's difficult to guess because he's still so young, a great character, he's so professional and he enjoys playing football a lot, but enjoys training the same at the same level."
With Son Heung-min manager speaking about him in such terms just shows how well the player has done. When it comes to international football the jury can be out sometimes on if Son performs to his best for his country. However, after a decent World Cup and then helping his country win the Asian Games in the autumn few could argue he is improving for his country too.
While the 26-year-old had to miss early parts of the season due to being away at the Asian Games since his return he's really kicked on and looked to get a place in the Tottenham side. Then with the London side sitting third in the league things are going well for the Korean and his teammates. The attacker is more than helping his team this season too with four goals in 17 games.
