Bangkok United reportedly sign Mike Havenaar

Bangkok United are in the midst of a strong recruitment drive having finished second in the Thai League 1 last season. That push has led them to ex Japanese international striker Mike Havenaar who is reported to be joining them for the new season.

Bangkok United look to Havenaar to go one better

Bangkok United are trying to go one better than last season and win the Thai League 1 this time around, and in the pursuit of achieving that aim, they've looked to Japan and Mike Havenaar for the goals to do that.

Havenaar was last seen playing for Vissel Kobe, but struggled to hold down a place in the side, and ended up being loaned out to Velgata Sendai where he scored one goal in six matches. He will be hoping for a better goal return in Thailand to ensure he can hold down a first team spot.

The striker played 18 times for his country between 2011 and 2016 scoring four goals in the process.
