Another East Asian player heading to Newcastle

Newcastle United look set to bring in a second East Asian player in this transfer window. As Yoshinori Muto looks set to be heading to the North East of England along with Ki Sung-yueng who moved earlier in the summer.

It looks that the transfer of Muto from his club Mainz to Newcastle United will be announced in the next few days. The rumour is that the German club has agreed to a fee in the region of £9 million for their highly rated striker.

Last season the striker scored eight goals in 27 appearances for his club, so they will not be adding a prolific striker to their squad. Although the stats state that he contributes to a goal every other match.

The fans back in Newcastle seem happy with this deal. The club has also been rumoured to be looking to strike a deal with West Brom for Salomon Rondon. Although from social media posts at least it looks like fans are much more excited at seeing Muto in the black and white shirt
