Jose Fonte the Portuguese defender is set to leave Dalian Yifang after only six months with the club.
The player is currently playing in the World Cup with Portugal and this week was left fuming after Iran scored a late penalty leaving his country finishing second in Group B.
Although Fonte will not be too interested in his club career right at this moment when the World Cup is over he will be on the search for a new club. Where this will be will be interesting to discover but I would imagine he will be returning to European football.
The Portuguese defender played a total of seven games in China but his performance was not to the standard his high wages demanded. As it was hoped the player who has played most of his career in England could help the team push towards the top of the table.
Unfortunately for Dalian Yifang, however, they sit 15th in a 16 team league and face the real possibility of relegation out of the Chinese Super League.
This has pushed the Chinese club to make some changes during this World Cup break and one of these moves was to bring in Duvier Riascos the Colombian striker.
With this move meaning that it will push the club over the foreign player quota which is why we will be seeing Fonte leave the club.
