This week in Romanian news, it was announced that Dan Petrescu formally of Chelsea left his position as manager of CFR Cluj. This announcement came after guiding his side to a league title in his only season with the club. The league title was also the clubs forth ever title in their history after being formed in 1907 showing what a good achievement this was.
Where is next then for the Romanian? Well as reported by us earlier in May he could be away to China.
The man already has experience of managing in China as in his only season in the Chinese Super League he guided Jiangsu Suning to a ninth-place finish in 2015. Despite a poor league finish, however, the side did win the Chinese FA Cup beating Shanghai Shenhua in extra time.
If Dan Petrescu next adventure is to be in China is unclear but if he is to return, he will be coming back to a stronger league than the one he left.
