Guzmics ten game ban

The China League One side Yanbian Fude's had defender Richard Guzmics, 37, ruled out for 10 games. As in Fude's last league match against Zhejiang Yiteng, the player saw red.

On top of the ban, Guzmics will be fined 70,000 RMB (£7,900) as part of the punishment.

The Hungarian international trod on Yiteng player Hao Qiang's face in early stages of the second half. Hao then posted a picture of the terrible foul on his social media and said Guzmics' behaviour had been "violent". This resulted in Guzmics making a public apology to Hao in a statement. Guzmics, did claim the stamp was not intentional.

Guzmics have been in China since January 2017 after moving from Polish club Wisla Krakow.

This is the most serious punishment seen this season, previously the Kuangchou Evergrande Brazilian striker Alan was banned for eight games, after knocking down an opponent.
