Great Weekend for Koreans Ki and Son

The weather in the UK might have been poor over the last few days but all Premiership games in the EPL took place on Saturday. Two players who didn't freeze in their performances this Saturday where Ki Sung-Yeung of Swansea City and Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspurs.

Son Heung-min scored both goals for his club as he helped them to a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Premiership this weekend. The result means that Tottenham Hotspurs sit 4th in the league but only a point behind Manchester United in second. Son now has ten goals to his name and playing as the attacking player to compliment Harry Kane that is a very good return.

Son was a threat all day for the home side as they dominated from start to finish. Son's first goal came from the defence stepping up too early trying to play offside. This allowed Son to collect Dele Alli's through-ball and round Lössl in the Huddersfield goal before finishing calmly with his left foot.

The second for Son and Tottenham came from a superb assist from Harry Kane as he sent a deep cross into the box for the head of the Korean, who skilfully steered a header back across the keeper and inside the post.

With Son putting in such a good performance it was the turn of another Korean to turn the style on in the name of Ki Sung-Yeung. The midfielder has had a decent season for a club that's barely been out of the bottom three. However, Swansea City has seen a revival under new coach Carlos Carvalhal. Swansea City went into the game against West Ham after lost their last league outing 4-1.

You could see from early on Swansea City were back to performing as a team again as Ki put the home side up within eight minutes. The goal came from a low curling shot into the corner of the net after an Andre Ayew's pass. The result puts Ki's side in 13th place and looking like they may just escape relegation after staring relegation in the face in January.

With both Son and Ki performing so with the World Cup around the corner this will be great news for the national side. Both players will be hoping to link up well together again soon with the national side when they cross the water to Belfast on the 24th of March to play Northern Ireland.
